Feb 10, Kathmandu : Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has stressed the need for expanding service considered to be playing an effective role in balancing economic development of the country to the rural areas.
Speaking at the 36th annual general assembly and convention of the Management Association of Nepal here on Friday, PM Dahal said management of economic development has made significant contribution in the Western countries. In the developing countries, management should be taken in a different way, he added.
“We should be mindful that application of concept based on developed system is not possible in the country like ours,” he said.
On the occasion, Executive Officer at NMB Bank, Upendra Poudel, was honoured with ‘Manager of the Year-2016’ award, while General Manager of NEPSE, Sitaram Thapaliya with ‘Management Recognization Award-2016’ and Chief Executive Officer of Vibor Society Development Bank, Jhalak Prasad Khanal, with ‘Manager of the Watch-2016’.
Discussion was held on the working paper presented by former Vice-Chairman of the National Planning Commission, Dipendra Bahadur Chhetri, on behalf of the MAN.
First Chairman of the MAN, Sushil Bhatta, said that MAN has been carrying out continuous initiatives to head the country towards the path of economic prosperity.
