30 May, Kanchanpur – CPN (Maoist Centre) leader and former minister, Lekhraj Bhatta, has said the country is moving forward on ‘agendas’.
Speaking at a function held to welcome new party recruits at Kanchanpur’s district headquarters of Mahendranagar on Monday evening, Bhatta insisted the country has now entered the Maoist agendas.
Bhatta said the agendas that the Maoist had advanced during the people’s war were now being implemented. He added further that the new constitution, secularism, federal democratic republic, inclusiveness and economic transformations were Maoist agendas, which are now being implemented through the local level polls.
Stating that the first phase of polls were held successfully, Bhatta stressed on need to bring on board the Madhes – centric parties in the second phase of local elections so that all can accept the constitution.
