18 Nov, BEIRUT – Syrian regime air strikes and shelling killed at least 25 civilians in rebel-held eastern districts of Aleppo on Thursday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitoring group said.
The regime launched a wide-ranging assault on rebels on Tuesday, shattering a month of relative calm in the devastated east of the divided northern city.
An AFP correspondent in the eastern districts said the sounds of dropping barrel bombs had been heard since 10:00 am (0800 GMT). (AFP)
