14 Jan, Baglung- The Nepal Bank Ltd, Galkot Branch, which was shut down during the armed conflict, was re-established today.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Krishna Bahadur Mahara, inaugurated the bank’s branch office amidst a function.
On the occasion, Mahara stressed on taking the banking services to every household and making the banking services rural sector oriented. “The banks and financial institutes (BFIs) are an important foundation for country’s economic prosperity,” Deputy Prime Minister Mahara said.
Mahara, who is also a leader of the CPN (Maoist Centre), said his party was now rebuilding after a demolition spree in the past.
