Feb 6, Kathmandu : An agreement has been signed in regard to the operation of separate exhibition and sales unit in 16 cities of different countries with sisterly relations with the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) for the promotion of Nepali products.
At a programme organized here on Monday, Joint Secretary at Industry Ministry, Dinesh Ghimire, and Executive Chief Rudra Singh Tamang signed the Memorandum of Understanding in the presence of Minister for Industry Nabindra Raj Joshi and Minister of State Kanchan Chandra Baghe.
According to the agreement, the KMC would run exhibition and sales unit for the promotion of Nepali goods in different cities of the US, Japan, India, Yangon, Myanmar, Korea and other countries.
This initiative is expected to increase the costumers of Nepali goods and contribute to the advancement of Nepali industries.
On the occasion, Industry Minister Joshi said the Ministry has put forward the initiative to advance mutual cooperation and collaboration between the agencies for the promotion of national interests.
KMC’s Executive Chief Tamang shared that the Kathmandu Metropolis has sisterly relations with different 16 cities of the world and the number would reach 20 in near future. RSS
