7 Dec, Hetauda : Deputy Prime Minister and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chair Kamal Thapa cast his ballot at the Banshagopal Higher Secondary School polling center in Hetauda Sub Metropolitan City-6 at 7:40 am today.
Talking to media persons briefly after casting his ballot, leader Thapa said these elections (House of Representatives and State Assemblies) had significant contribution to the strengthening of democracy and keeping it alive. He was of the view that political stability and durable peace in the nation should be the major agenda of political parties.
“Time has come for major political parties to rise above the partisan interests and sacrifice for the nation’s wellbeing so as to attain economic progress and keep the country untouched by the influence of foreign meddling,” he asserted.
