7 Feb,Pokhara: Minister for Urban Development Arjun Narsingh KC today stressed the need for concluding the constitution amendment proposal registered in Parliament as soon as possible.
Inaugurating Srimad Bhagawat Saptaha Gyan Mahayagya (recital of religious scriptures) on the premises of Kanya Campus in Pokhara, he said local level elections should be held within three months to fill the posts of people’s representatives at local bodies falling vacant for the past one decade and a half.
Saying the campus could become a model one of Province-4, he assured that the ministry would provide assistances in upgrading it.
Likewise on the occasion, lawmaker Sharada Poudel pledged to provide Rs 2.1 million from the Parliamentary Development Fund for the college to run technical education.
At the Mahayagya, pandit Dinbandhu Pokharel recites scriptures. Approximately Rs 50 million is expected to be collected from the religious event.
